COVId-19
During COVID-19, which took us out of three seasons of competition (two track seasons and one cross country season), our team has still been able to have some fun through a variety of activities. One of these activities was the virtual Pitt versus Penn State 5k Showdown in early October of 2020...
We also did the Wendy's 4 for 4 challenge at the Schenley Oval in mid-December of 2020 which involves every participant eating a burger, fries, and chicken nuggets as well as drinking a soda...
Not long after, this was followed by something absolutely insane... the MILK MILE!!! 4 cups of milk, 4 laps... yikes. This might just become an annual tradition of ours...
And a lot of us raced at the COVID-19 safe March Mad Dash in North Park on March 27, 2021, absolutely DOMINATING across the board in the 5k and 10-mile distances...
Two Strava Art challenges went down, the first of which was won by Ken Ching (in the summer of 2020) and the second (in late February of 2021) by the iconic duo of Thomas Chimes and Ken Ching. Look at this gorgeous Strava art...
Under the safety regulations of the university, our team was able to meet up for in-person practices on many occasions in the 2020-2021 school year. We were even able to get into the Fitzgerald Field House for some SPICY track workouts...
And let's not forget our fundraising chairs, Ellen Annas and Sam Santavicca, who put on several fundraisers to bring in money for the club, including ones from Milkshake Factory and Roots.
Updates
In-person practices are back up as of 1/27/2022! Let's GOOOO!!!!
